Toward ensuring the independence and competitiveness of Japan's satellite system technology

ASTEC was established to contribute to the promotion of Japan's strategic development and demonstration of satellites by conducting ongoing research and analysis of domestic and international technologies, markets, and policies related to satellite systems (positioning, communications, earth observation, etc.), and by proposing specific measures to the government, thereby ensuring Japan's independence in the development, manufacture, and operation of satellite systems and equipment, including positioning, communications, and earth observation satellites, and contributing to strengthening Japan's international competitiveness.
